In 2022, Fertri carried out this chapel greenhouse with a glass roof in Portugal. The chapel type with glass represents the solution with the greatest longevity and optical quality within the Fertri greenhouse catalogue: horticultural glass offers higher light transmission than plastic, maintains its properties unchanged for decades and does not require periodic cover replacement, significantly reducing long-term maintenance costs.
The 10-metre width of this glass chapel greenhouse provides a spacious, open interior optimised for intensive horticultural crops in substrate or soil. Fertri’s galvanised metal structure is specifically designed to withstand the additional weight of glass compared with plastics, with reinforced sections in posts and purlins.
Portugal’s proximity to Fertri’s manufacturing plant in Pontedeume enabled fast road transport, with very tight delivery times and on-site coordination.
