Large-scale intensive

In 2022, Fertri carried out this large 108,000 m² horticultural complex in Bandar Abbas, an Iranian port city located next to the Strait of Hormuz. The gothic model was selected for its superior structural resistance and better performance in areas with high rainfall and frequent winds typical of the coastline.

The project was delivered turnkey: from the topographic study and structural design to the supply of materials, transport from Galicia and complete installation with a Fertri technical team deployed to Iran. The 10-metre-wide bays allow intensive vegetable production with full mechanisation of the work.

The installation includes a drip irrigation system with automated fertigation, motorised roof ventilation and energy-saving thermal screens for the region’s cold winter nights.
