The United Arab Emirates represents one of the world’s most demanding markets for protected agriculture: extreme temperatures exceeding 45 °C in summer, intense solar radiation throughout the year and absolute water scarcity make it essential to have a greenhouse solution specifically designed for these conditions. In 2022, Fertri carried out this 10-metre Gothic greenhouse installation with cooling and shading systems adapted to the desert climate.
In this environment, the Gothic greenhouse offers a roof geometry that favours natural roof ventilation, reducing the interior temperature even during the hottest months. The galvanised steel structure is dimensioned to withstand the occasional sandstorms that affect the Persian Gulf region.
Turnkey project delivered with climate control system, drip irrigation and fertigation, designed for the production of leafy vegetables and aromatic plants aimed at the high-end local market.
